KidsBank data is saved on your local iOS device (iPhone or iPad) and synced across your devices using iCloud. You do not need to use iCloud to use KidsBank. If you enable iCloud, your data will migrate to iCloud.
When iOS or KidsBank is upgraded or installed on a new device, if your device is signed in to iCloud, and you have Drive turned on, any existing data will load within a few seconds to a few minutes when connected to the Internet. Your data will sync automatically between your iCloud-enabled devices. If you enable and later disable iCloud, your data may be deleted and may revert to any older, existing local data. Not using iCloud? Your data remains local to your device. Turn on iCloud and your existing data is migrated to iCloud.
Version 6.0 required iCloud Drive be ON with iCloud (iOS 8 or iOS 9). If the app is upgraded when iCloud Drive is not enabled, the data will appear to be lost. If iCloud Drive is enabled, the data will appear when the app is terminated and restarted.
If you upgrade iOS or KidsBank and your data appears to be missing, please check that you have set iCloud either on or off depending on your prior setting. You can generally reconnect with your KidsBank data by enabling both iCloud and Drive. Once completed, follow the instructions below to terminate and restart KidsBank. When KidsBank starts, it will look for your data. For a new device or if the local data was removed, it may take a few minutes for your data to recover from iCloud.
Terminate and restart KidsBank:
